Product Description
5-Day Abs offers five distinct workouts that train and strengthen the abdomen. A variety of instructors lead each segment and concentrate on specific areas of the torso. Crunches, reverse curls, and cross-lateral movements are presented in this uncomplicated format. All of the major muscles of the abdomen get attention here, including some great target toning for the obliques. Time-savvy exercisers will appreciate the quick and effective delivery of each set (ranging from six to nine minutes). Students have the option to do all five sets back-to back (36 minutes) or to complete one set for a quick fix. Firm Parts provides vital information on proper form while keeping the movements challenging. Beginners will learn about safely executing sit-ups in the informational segment at the start of this video. Several exercises are performed with the legs off the ground, and students with injured backs and necks may need to modify these moves. This brief but winning workout combines easy-to-follow moves with schedule conscious formats. Participants of all fitness levels will find a program that can tighten and strengthen the abdominals. Simply said: 5-Day Abs delivers crunches for the time-crunched.

  1. It goes way too fast////i do like the abs workout section but the aerobic section isnt good. I will never buy firm tapes again

  2. This workout (or should I call it that) is composed of pieces of all different workouts put together. There is no class, no instructor, forget about cueing, no rhythm – it’s horrible. The abs part is even worse. A kindergartener can do it. 5 day abs? Yeah right. I’m an advanced exerciser and this workout is a nightmare. Trust me – DO NOT waste your money.

  3. I would definitely NOT recomend this. Don’t be fooled by the cover. The guy does an intro to each session for about 30 seconds. Then it takes you back to 1989, with big hair, bad music and really, really, bad outfits. The kind with the tights and thongs. And a lot of big hair, lots of hairspray. I had to return it. No way I could follow the exercises when I couldn’t get past the the fact the woman’s bangs were 8 inches tall.

There are two workouts in this DVD: One is Tough Tape 2 and the other is Five Day Ab workout. It seems to have been taped in the 80’s, or that is what the decor, hairdos, and high cut workout suits suggest.

There is also a ‘fitness training program’ section, which I thought were presented by pretentious women with a cold attitude: “we know it all, look at our bodies we are the best, forget the rest”.

The Tough Tape 2 seems to be cut and paste from several different Firm tapes – I don’t see the point of that – it doesn’t allow for stretching, warm-up or cool-downs. The theme basically suggests that you use weights, and do lots of reps. At the end it does make you do the work so if you can overlook the 80’s cheesy decor, the high cut workout suits shot from rather interesting angles, and some of the women’s suggestive looks, it should be fine for you. But I found these elements to be distracting (I kept thinking that after this filming, they must have changed costumes, and filmed a soft porn movie right at that location!)

The Five Day Abs section seems much better at keeping the focus on working the abs, although the cut and pasted sections, cheesy decor and hairdos continue here.
